MINUTES OF AGM HELD ON SUNDAY 16th JANUARY 2011
AT PORTOBELLO INDOOR BOWLING CLUB 15:00HRS

After Chairman Joe McGregor brought the meeting to order Secretary Colin introduced the New Members Derek, Greg & Steven.
ITEMS DISCUSSED AT MEETING :-
1. FINANCIAL REPORT Report shows that Club outgoings for season 2010 stood at £513, of which £210 was made up of under attended trips both figures being a vast improvement on previous year figures.
The Club Account Balance is now standing at £823 as of 16/1/11 which is a rise of £77 on previous years balance.
2. TRIP CALENDAR 2011 - It was decided, by the members present, that the monthly trips would start in March with a trip to Loch Etive (self hires), April's at Berwick, May's would be a trip to Oban (Skate), June's trip would be to Fife with the preferred venues being Anstruther or Crail, due to holiday time July's would be at Dunbar, August's up to Arbroath, September would see the Club make the trip down to Drummore/Portpatrick (Tope/Pollack) but from a charter boat, October would see us return to Berwick and lastly in November to Loch Etive, this trip being our annual Competition Day.
As in previous years the Committee confirmed that PER HEAD PRICES' for the trips at BERWICK, ARBROATH & proposed FIFE venue during 2011 would be set at £20 (with shortfalls paid from Club funds) as long as there were a minimum of 10 Adults aboard and dependant of the cost of these Charters.
Rod Hire costs on Oban Skate trip would be covered by Club funds as decided at last years AGM.
3. FISH OF THE YEAR 2010 As there was only one Club Record broken during 2010 all Club Members present agreed that Jeff Weir's 4lb 13oz Spurdog caught during the Clubs last trip of the year and Competition Day at Loch Etive (6/11/10) should be the Fish of the Year for 2010. Congratulations Jeff.
4. OFFICE BEARERS FOR SEASON 2011 Attending Members voted for keeping the same Office Bearers as last year :-

5. A.O.C.B.
- Club Membership Fees would remain the same as season 2010 - £15 for Adults and £10 for O.A.P.'s and Juniors.
- As was decided at last years AGM the Club Bonusball weekly winnings would be kept at £10 with New Club Members invited to join in.
- Robert Robb suggested that the Club should look at the possibility of setting up a Club page on Facebook for free rather than again continuing to pay for the present website which costs £97 for season 2011. Club Member Preston McMichael has agreed to look into going the Facebook route and he was made aware with the Club already paying for present website he was under no pressure time wise to come up with a suitable replacement.
- Secretary Colin highlighted that if any member was interested in setting up a monthly standing order, which a few have running already, this may ease the financial burden if the Club were thinking of booking a trip away during 2012 season. With some of the members already enquiring whether we would be having an away trip this season or next Colin asked members for venue suggestions.
